Easy Coffee Cake Recipe with Brown Sugar and Pecans

Ingredients
1cupsifted flour
1cupsugar
1teaspoonbaking powder
1/2teaspoonsalt
1/2cupmilk
2Tablespoonsmelted butter
2egg whites
1teaspoonvanilla
Crumb Topping
1/2cupfirmly packed brown sugar
1teaspooncinnamon
1/2cupfinely chopped pecans
Cooking Equipment Needed:
Large mixing bowl
9" x 9" baking pangreased and floured
small mixing bowl
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Sift dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt) together into a large mixing bowl.
Add milk, egg whites, butter and vanilla. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer for three minutes.
Pour into a greased and floured 9" x 9" pan.
In a small mixing bowl, combine ingredients for the crumb topping and sprinkle on top of the coffeecake batter.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
Notes
Cut and serve warm with vanilla sauce drizzled over the top. It is also delicious used as a dessert and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.This easy coffeecake recipe serves 6-9 depending on how you cut the pieces.
