Ingredients
2Tablespoonsbutter
2/3cupsugar
2eggs
3Tablespoonsmilk
1-3/4cupflour
2teaspoonsbaking powder
1/2teaspoonbaking soda
1cupmashed bananasabout 2-3 medium bananas
1/2cupchopped walnuts or pecansoptional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a 8" x 4" x 3" metal loaf pan.
In a medium sized mixing bowl cream the butter and sugar together until smooth.
Add the eggs and milk and beat well.
In a separate medium sized bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
Make a well in the flour and pour in the egg mixture. Stir to combine.
Fold in the mashed bananas and chopped nuts.
Pour into your greased and floured loaf baking pan.
Bake for 50 minutes until golden brown and just starting to pull away from the edges of the baking pan. Test with a toothpick inserted in the center of the bread. It is done when the toothpick comes out clean.
