Homemade Oatmeal Recipe
This homemade oatmeal recipe uses rolled oats spiced with cinnamon, cardamom, and cashews. Add milk and butter.

Ingredients

cup
rolled oats
quick cooking instant oats
1
teaspoon
cinnamon
1/4
teaspoon
ground cardamom
2-1/2
cups
milk
pinch
of salt
knob of butter*
sugar or honey to taste
handful of unsalted cashews
Instructions
In a medium sized saucepan, combine the oatmeal, cinnamon, cardamom, milk, salt, butter, and sugar or honey.
Bring to a boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Serve hot.
Notes
*A knob of butter is roughly two tablespoons, more or less.
